J. P. Mascaro & Sons 2010 Poster Contest

And the Winner Is!

On Friday, June 25, 2010 J.P. Mascaro & Sons hosted their annual Respect Program “Sneak Peek” and Poster Contest Luncheon.  School representatives, students and their families were invited to Mascaro’s headquarters where prizes were given out from gift cards to zoo memberships to the grand prize – a laptop computer.  The sneak peek and poster contest is held every year to unveil the updated version of The Respect Program (Mascaro’s free educational assembly program) and to honor the winners of the annual poster contest. This year’s finalists represented several schools in the local region including, Audubon Elementary,  Worcester Elementary, Rolling Hills Elementary, East Coventry Elementary, Lower Pottsgrove Elementary and several more.  Over 21 awards were given out.  The grand prize winner this year was Melissa Gutierrez, a Norristown resident who just finished fifth grade at Epiphany of our Lord in Plymouth Meeting.

The Respect Program was viewed by over 30,000 students in the 2009-2010 school year.  Students in the third through fifth grade are eligible to enter posters in the annual poster contest.  This year over three hundred posters were received.  The Respect Program is currently booking for the 2010-2011 school year.
